ST. LOUIS — Marjorie Benzkofer has been named FleishmanHillard’s first chief strategy officer, after 22 years with the agency.

In the newly-created role, Benzkofer is charged with furthering FH’s growth, which includes tasks from managing investments in resources to measuring the firm’s progress.

She is responsible for developing an overarching strategic plan for the firm, with a specific focus on advancing growth across FH’s 80-plus offices around the world.

This will include working with leaders from across the agency — the FleishmanHillard Cabinet, general managers and leaders of the finance and talent development departments among them — to ensure a coordinated effort.

In addition to her new responsibilities, Benzkofer will continue to lead FH’s global reputation management practice, which she has done for nearly eight years. She spent 14 years leading FH Chicago’s corporate affairs practice before that.

Before joining FH, Benzkofer was head of corporate communications for the Illinois utility ComEd.
