DALLAS — With an eye on growth, Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chão is looking for a new public relations and social media agency, PRovoke Media has learned.

The restaurant company — which has roughly 65 locations in the US, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Mexico, and the Middle East — is seeking a firm to promote the Fogo brand, elevate its stature as an industry leader, and generate ongoing media coverage, according to the RFP. Amplifying social buzz and media & crisis management also are part of the remit.

The account is estimated to be worth $750,000 - $1 million. Fogo will continue its years-long relationship with ICR, whose responsibilities include corporate PR and crisis communications.

In the RFP, Fogo said it sees its “national ‘Brand Buzz’ partner” as an instrumental piece of its success and is looking for a firm whose team will “roll up their sleeves to get the job done, no matter what it takes.”

That includes understanding and leveraging the brand voice, best-in-class social engagement, and developing brand messaging that can be used for media materials and assets, it said.

Fogo representatives did not respond to request for comment.

The review comes in midst of a push by Fogo to grow the number of restaurants by 15% this year. The growth plan includes opening restaurants in New Jersey, California, Florida, New York, Mexico and Brazil.
