LONDON — Football Index has appointed Hope&Glory PR as its retained UK PR agency following a competitive pitch. The appointment will include press office and creative campaign work for the brand.

Football Index – a real money virtual football stock market founded by entrepreneur Adam Cole in 2015 – already has over half a million users trading on the platform. The UK-regulated gambling platform gives fans a chance to make money from their football knowledge by buying virtual shares in players they think will perform well in the future.

Hope&Glory PR has been brought in to continue Football Index’s growth in the UK, launch new partnerships and cement its position with football fans and in the trading sector.

The company's previous UK PR agency was sports specialist Brandnation, which was appointed in April 2019.

Football Index co-founder and chief marketing officer Mike Bohan said: “While the regular stock market can seem intimidating and inaccessible, Football Index replicates the way the market works, but allows you to trade a commodity you understand – football. It’s already proven to be a big hit in the UK and now we’re really excited to welcome Hope&Glory to the team to help us to grow our community, drive the brand forward and take it to the next level.”

Hope&Glory PR associate director Claire Kane, who will lead the account alongside joint MD Seb Dilleyston, added: “Football Index brings something totally different to the world of sports betting, so it’s a really exciting time to be joining forces with the team. We’re looking forward to further establishing the brand among its core audience groups and bolstering an already strong community of traders on the site.”
