DETROIT—Michaela Johndrow is joining Ford as Manager, North America electrified vehicles communications.  She will report to Mike Levine, manager, North America product communications, and will lead the company’s electrified vehicles communications strategy, plans, programs and stakeholder engagement supporting Ford’s investment of $4.5 billion in electrified solutions.

For the past five years, Johndrow has worked in Apple’s corporate communications team, most recently managing specialty retail, channel distribution and product communications for the Apple Watch.  She previously led public relations for Williams-Sonoma's Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma brands and worked with technology and venture-funded startups, including Fitbit, Yelp and Cisco Systems.

In addition, Colin Smith is joining Ford as head of communications, Ford Silicon Valley. He will report to Karen Hampton, executive director, mobility communications and will be based at the Ford research and innovation center, Palo Alto.

Smith most recently was director of corporate communications at Apple, where he was responsible for leading global communications for the Mac hardware and software business, as well as a diverse portfolio of Apple applications. Before Apple, Smith was director of public relations for Cisco, with responsibility for the communications activities of four business units

In conjunction with these appointments, Angie Kozleski is named assistant director, mobility communications, continuing to report to Karen Hampton.
