NEW YORK — Text 100 has snapped up Kim Sample who resigned as CEO of Emanate when the firm was merged with fellow Omnicom agency Access in January.

Sample is now GM of Text 100's New York office. Before joining the Next 15-owned tech PR firm, Sample spent more than two decades at Omnicom, rising through the ranks at Ketchum. In 2006 she founded Emanate as a consumer PR conflict shop to parent agency Ketchum. Last fall, Omnicom announced it was merging Access and Emanate and Access founder/CEO Susan Butenhoff took control of the newly-merged entity.

Sample has worked on clients like Bank of America, Philips, Celebrity Cruises, Hilton, among others. She expanded Emanate beyond New York to include offices in Los Angeles, London and Munich.

"Kim’s success building an agency in the NYC market, combined with her deep expertise in B2B, corporate and consumer communications not only complements our existing expertise in New York, but also opens up an entirely new and different industry network to propel strong growth in one of our most important markets," a Text 100 spokesperson said in a statement.
