LONDON — Former Lansons and Teneo leader Gordon Tempest-Hay has taken up a new role as CEO of global advisory firm Access Partnership.
Tempest-Hay stepped down from the CEO role at strategic communications firm Lansons earlier this year; long-time Lansons leader Laura Hastings has since taken up the post. He was previously CEO of Teneo’s strategy and communications business in the UK, and also led reputation firm Blue Rubicon.
Access Partnership works with businesses and governments to guide them through complex regulatory challenges, with the aim of shaping regulations and policy that enable market access for innovative companies and attract investment into national markets. The firm’s client roster includes technology and innovation companies, government bodies, and multilateral lenders and development organisations.
With Tempest-Hay’s appointment, the firm’s founder, Greg Francis, will become vice chair of the Board, while remaining in the business.
Francis said: “In Gordon we have a CEO who will expand our offering and continue our international growth, while his strategic communications track record will provide a major upgrade to what we can offer to the world’s innovators. We could not have found a leader better suited to the times and the commensurate client demand.”
Tempest-Hay added: “I’ve watched Access Partnership grow and diversify from a distance for many years and am delighted to have the opportunity to lead this business through its next stage of evolution, adding my own capabilities in support of our clients around the world.”
Since the start of this year, Access Partnership has added six Southeast Asian offices to its existing presence in Abu Dhabi, Brussels, London, Singapore, Washington DC, and across Latin America.
In particular, the firm is seeing greater demand for its strategic advisory services from the digital technology, life sciences, and financial services sectors in multiple markets.
