WASHINGTON, D.C., April 17—Myron Marlin, formerly chief spokesman and director of public affairs for the U.S. Department of Justice, has joined APCO Worldwide as vice president and senior strategist. He will focus primarily on litigation and crisis communications, as well as mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.

“We understand how decisions that affect our clients are being made in courtrooms, at the highest levels of government, and in news rooms,” says Robert Schooling, director of the firm’s public affairs practice. “There is no way to duplicate the kind of experience that Myron will bring to the table.”

Working closely with former attorney general Janet Reno, Marlin coordinated Justice Department communications strategies, served as the chief spokesperson for the nation’s federal law enforcement agency, and oversaw the media operations of the FBI, DEA, and INS. Prior to serving at Jutsice, he worked on the 1992 Clinton/Gore campaign.
He began his career with the New York law firm of Tenzer Greenblatt Fallon & Kaplan, as a lawyer in the litigation department.
