MURRAY HILL, N.J., July 18—Medical device manufacturer C. R. Bard has named Holly Glass as vice president, government and public relations. She will report to Bard chairman and chief executive officer, William Longfield.
Since 1997, Glass has served as Bard’s government and public affairs consultant in Washington, D.C., working on a variety of issues affecting Bard and the global medical technology industry. In her new role, she will continue to manage this effort, communicating the company’s positions to key external audiences on behalf of the company and its eight operating divisions.
 
Prior to her work with Bard, Glass served as vice president of public affairs at AdvaMed, the medical device trade association in Washington, D.C., for five years. She had held several other senior communications posts in Washington, including vice president of broadcast services at Hill & Knowlton and director of public relations at Gallaudet University, the world’s only university for the deaf.
