Sujit Patil will be honoured with the Individual Achievement SABRE Award on 19 September 2024, at the Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards in Singapore.

As chief communications officer, Patil is responsible for building and sustaining the reputation of India's Godrej Industries Group across its diverse stakeholders. With a background in engineering, an MBA in marketing, and a diploma in advertising and PR, Patil's journey has included sales, marketing, branding, and strategy.

Prior to Godrej, Patil held senior communications positions at Larsen and Toubro and the Tata Group where he led the global rebranding and brand integration of Tata Chemicals Limited across US, UK, Africa and India.

Under Patil's leadership, Godrej's communications team has achieved considerable success, winning numerous prestigious industry awards, including the Diamond SABRE Award for Company of the Year in Asia-Pacific and South Asia.

One of the few IABC-accredited business communicators in India, Patil has been honored with the International Gold Quill award three times — a testament to his commitment to excellence in communication. He has also been listed in the Influence 100 for the past seven years.

"Sujit is a rare leader in the Indian communications community," said Adfactors co-founder Madan Bahal, who has worked with Patil for more than a decade. "His professional commitment, integrity and pursuit of excellence in whatever he does is indeed inspiring. He is, in some sense, the global face of the Indian communications industry."

"[Patil] has built great teams across the group's many companies," added Bahal. "He provides sound thinking and direction to the external PR partners the group works with. He always leads from the front. Sujit is highly respected within his organisation — by the founder family, CEOs and CXOs of Godrej Group. He is consulted on all matters of public importance and actively contributes in shaping the public policies of the group. He truly enjoys a seat at table."

Patil is also the co-author of “The Pursuit of Reputation” with Amith Prabhu, published by Westland Business.
