DALLAS – Golin has promoted agency veteran Jeff Beringer to president of global digital, overseeing one of its largest specialty units.
Beringer started his career at IPG in 1998 as Weber Shandwick’s director of web relations, before moving to Golin in 2004, and most recently serving as global head of digital. In his 18 years with the agency, Beringer building the digital practice into an integrated unit that serves clients across Golin’s global network.
In his new role, Beringer will focus on innovation and future strategies for the agency’s largest clients, lead executive counsel across the digital speciality and will continue to lead and contribute to new business.
Beringer, who started in the role last month, reports to Gary Rudnick, Golin’s president and chief operating officer, who said: “Jeff is a tenured Golin leader with decades of success in building our digital capabilities, attracting and retaining top clients, and building best in class integrated teams.
“What started as a small practice area with Jeff years ago, has evolved into one of the agency’s largest specialty areas. Jeff is also a consummate innovator, and has been a driving force behind many of our agency’s most successful product and service innovations over the years. Under his leadership, our digital teams are strong stewards of our clients’ business and brands.”

Golin’s digital function, which now includes almost 400 global specialists, has embedded talent in global clients including Ferrero, J&J Skin Health, McDonald’s, PepsiCo and Walmart. Its teams also lead on digital-first business for clients such as Adobe, where Golin leads social, influencer, analytics and paid media work, and LinkedIn, for which Golin is social media agency of record.
In addition to client service, Beringer will continue to contribute to the development of new agency products and will serve as a gateway to other IPG agencies for Golin clients, as well as overseeing the agency’s relationships with technology partners, digital media outlets and social networks. Recently, Beringer served as an innovation partner within IPG as it relaunched its centralized intelligence function, Collective Intelligence.
