SYDNEY — Graham White is exiting OPR, less than a year after being named chief operating officer of Ogilvy PR's Australian business.

White leaves as the result of an agency restructuring, ending his two-decade long career with the firm.

"This year has forced many businesses to rethink and reset," said OPR CEO Richard Brett. "As we work on our business plans and start to look ahead, we recognise that we need to reshape our agency around growing client needs, key growth areas and our people. As part of this we have had to look at our existing roles and operating structure and rethink what that looks like for 2021 and beyond.

"Sadly, as part of this restructure, we say goodbye to our valuable and trusted colleague Graham," added Brett. "“Graham is a trusted advisor to so many clients and is a true people person. He is fiercely loved by his teams and always makes the time for people and can be counted on for his quick-witted British sense of humour."

White's 20-year run with OPR includes almost 15 years leading subsidiary firm Howorth, which focuses on B2B and technology communications. He was also joint MD of Pulse for 18 months from 2007 to early 2009 and played a key role in establishing and leading Ogilvy PR’s Social@Ogilvy practice from 2009-2013.

Earlier this year, White became COO of OPR while Jacquie Potter took on leadership of Howorth.

"After more than two decades in the business, it’s with a heavy heart that this journey ends," added White. "I leave with so many great memories and triumphs and am proud of the achievements and successes the agency has afforded me over all these years. I’ve had the privilege of working with so many great people, past and present, and now look forward to the next chapter in my career."
