LONDON — Grayling has appointed Christine Quigley, a director in SEC Newgate’s advocacy division, as its new public affairs director.

Quigley will be based in Grayling’s London office and will work across Grayling UK’s offices and wider global network.

At SEC Newgate, Quigley worked with clients across highly regulated sectors, developing and delivering strategic public affairs and advocacy campaigns. Before joining SEC Newgate in 2018, she was a political adviser to Labour on transport issues and head of public affairs at The Rail Delivery Group.

The appointment follows the arrival of Joey Jones a year ago as senior counsel, in a move to strengthen the agency’s strategic advisory and corporate affairs offer.

Grayling’s UK head of public affairs Alan Boyd Hall said: “This is an exciting hire not only for the public affairs team, but for Grayling as a whole. Christine’s arrival builds upon our sector expertise within regulated industries and adds further senior firepower to our already successful public and corporate affairs offerings.”

Quigley added: “Grayling is on an impressive growth trajectory. I look forward to bringing the experience I have built around regulation to advise business across the board with how to navigate the post-Covid and post-Brexit landscape.”
