LONDON—Grayling, the UK-based international public relations and government relations consultancy, has launched a brand new global industry trends monitor called Grayling Pulse. The Holmes Group is partnering on the new industry survey and will provide ongoing commentary based on the quarterly findings.

The free quarterly report is designed to provide a global snapshot of current and emerging communications industry trends. It will track important changes in PR spend against key metrics, including spending by geography and sector, investment in digital and corporate social responsibility communications and the changing level of visibility and perceived value of PR and communications at a board level in some of the world’s leading organisations.

Says Paul Holmes, editor of The Holmes Report: “Public relations as an industry continues to suffer from an alarming lack of hard data. This new survey will provide a way to track the way senior executives are thinking about key trends, and over time will provide valuable insight into what communicators consider to be the most critical issues and best practices.”
