LOS GATOS, CA – Gutenberg Communications has brought on former Cisco marketing exec Jeff Platón as CMO and EVP of its marketing services practice.

In this role, he focuses on driving new and organic business growth. Platón also provides senior marketing counsel to a broad portfolio of Gutenberg clients. In 2014, the tech firm added 12 clients across the mobile, cloud and cybersecurity technology sectors.

Prior to leaving Cisco in February, Platón spent 12 years at the tech giant working on global marketing and go-to-market strategies for its enterprise solutions and IT security solutions. He also worked on the development of the long-running “The Cisco Self Defending Network” (SDN) marketing campaign. He’s also held marketing posts at McAfee, Exabyte and Burroughs (Unisys).
