MILAN — Hill+Knowlton Strategies has appointed Sergio Pisano as its new CEO in Italy, replacing Alessandra Favilli, who left in January to become institutional and external relations director at pharmaceutical company and H+K client Angelini.

Pisano was most recently CEO of iCorporate, a consulting firm specialising in corporate, financial and crisis communication, which he joined in 2014 as general manager. Before that, Pisano was a general manager at Publicis Consultants and MSL Italy.

He will report directly to Melanie Faithfull Kent, Senior Vice President Continental Europe, who said: “Clients are coming to us at H+K to manage risk, build their reputation and ultimately, drive growth and the pandemic has heightened their need for trusted, pragmatic advice.

"Sergio joins a group of fiercely capable leaders across Europe and I am sure that under his care, our great team in Italy will continue to elevate the creativity and innovation we provide to our clients.”

Pisano added: “Having worked with national and global brands across a range of industries, joining H+K was the natural next step – they were the original pioneers of the ‘network strength through local relevance’ approach to agency structure. I look forward to bringing my broad experience to this leadership position and driving our growth as we emerge from the global pandemic.”
