SINGAPORE — John Morgan has left his role as president and CEO of H+K Strategies Asia to become head of corporate communications at industrial giant Royal Golden Eagle (RGE).

Morgan, who has relocated from Hong Kong to Singapore, spent six years with H+K, becoming Asia president and CEO in 2013 and also serving as Japan president and energy practice lead.

"John leaves H+K with an enormous amount of goodwill, our best wishes for his new job, and grateful thanks for everything he accomplished at H+K," said H+K Strategies Asia-Pacific chairman Viv Lines, to whom Morgan's direct reports are now reporting.

Previously known as Raj Garuda Mas, RGE's assets span paper, palm oil, construction and energy, including pulp and paper mill APRIL and palm oil producer Asian Agri.

"I’ve enjoyed six great years at Hill+Knowlton, working across Asia Pacific in several leadership roles, with fantastic clients and the best talents in our business," said Morgan. "I’ve chosen to pursue an in-house role based in Southeast Asia, one which presents a new chapter, new challenge, new opportunity."

Prior to H+K, Morgan spent more than a decade with Golin in the US and Asia.
