NEW YORK — Hill+Knowlton Strategies alumnus Mary Jane Walker has returned to the agency to lead its US healthcare practice.
As head of US healthcare, Walker will be leading teams that support communications for the full range of healthcare clients — large and small pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies among others. The creation of her position is part of H+K’s elevation of its healthcare offering at a time of increased demand.
Walker brings deep expertise in healthcare communications, having worked with the likes of Pfizer, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, and Eli Lilly during her career.
Walker has held senior leadership roles at TheSocial Architects and Weber Shandwick in addition to H+K, where she spent three years as a healthcare practice senior VP. She spent more than a decade as Dr. Anthony Fauci’s press secretary.
“The past 18 months have highlighted the critical need for evolved healthcare communications to ensure better health outcomes,” said Richard Millar, H+K’s global president and Americas CEO. “Mary Jane brings deep subject matter expertise and an impressive track record as a leader, trusted advisor, collaborator, and growth driver. I have full confidence that she will orchestrate our network resources to create exceptional work for our clients.”
