SEATTLE — WE Communications has hired H+K Strategies executive Hannah Peters to lead the firm’s corporate reputation and brand purpose efforts.

In the newly created executive VP role, Peters is charged with expanding WE’s corporate purpose offering, focusing on such areas as employee engagement, public affairs and executive communications.

Peters reports to WE's North America president and chief client officer Dawn Beauparlant.

Peters joins WE after nearly two decades with H+K. As a senior VP, Peters spent the last nine years building, launching and leading H+K’s Better Impact citizenship and sustainability practice, which encompasses environmental sustainability, DE&I and ESG performance and reporting. She served as director of public strategies before that.

“We are experiencing an acceleration in client demand for how we help companies act on their purpose,” said global CEO and founder Melissa Waggener Zorkin. “Whether it is taking a stand on an important issue or a new approach to sustainability, it is about thinking deeply about how your company shows up in the world. Building on our deep roots in this space, Hannah adds a powerful new dimension to our global team.”

WE works with a range of clients on corporate reputation and brand purpose including Reckitt Benckiser (RB), Microsoft, Avon, Plastic Free Foundation and Cotton On Group. The agency has also recently added new client partnerships with ChildFund India and PSB Academy.
