MADRID — Havas Group has acquired a majority share in Tinkle, the 200-strong Iberian agency based in Spain and Portugal, for an undisclosed sum.

Tinkle, which was founded in 1999 by CEO Javier Curtichs, will be integrated into Havas Group’s global strategic advisory network, AMO, and will be rebranded as Tinkle/AMO.

The agency, which has a team of around 200 across its offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon, will continue to be led by Curtichs and his management team.

Curtichs said: “This is a key milestone in Tinkle's trajectory and opens a new chapter full of opportunities for our team and our clients. Vivendi, Havas and AMO are the best family we can have in Spain, Portugal and globally, and we are delighted to share our experience, capabilities and innovations to further develop the team and strengthen our client offer.”

Havas Group chairman and CEO Yannick Bolloré said Tinkle was a natural fit for the French-owned holding company because of its “entrepreneurial spirit, drive for excellence and commitment to people and the environment.”

Alfonso Rodés, chairman of Havas Group Spain, added: “Bringing Tinkle on board ensures that we will remain at the forefront and together we will combine, complement and enhance our respective capabilities in Spain and Portugal.”

Other recent acquisitions into Havas’ AMO network include UK corporate communications and public affairs firm Cicero, which became part of the group in 2020.
