LOS ANGELES — Heather Wilson has stepped down from her role running SKDK’s California operation to join Big Valley Marketing as strategy and positioning lead.
In the newly created role, Wilson will serve as a strategy advisor on corporate and financial communications, executive communications, as well as crisis management, across the firm’s client base.
Big Valley, which CEO Tim Marklein launched in 2014, serves the tech sector, with clients ranging from public tech leaders like Broadcom, Fastly, and Hitachi Vantara, to startups such as FourKites, Signifyd, and Medable.
"We’re absolutely thrilled to have Heather join Big Valley’s team of experts," Marklein said. "Her experience as a corporate, crisis and financial communications consultant will be incredibly valuable to our technology clients as they navigate an ever-changing landscape. Brand reputation, market relevance and thought leadership have never been more important for B2B tech companies."
Wilson left SKDK earlier this month after three-plus years with the firm, during which she oversaw the agency’s California operations and led strategic communications and public affairs for the West Coast.
She brings to Big Valley expertise in corporate and financial communications, as well as tech sector work, gleaned from years of agency experience. Before SKDK, Wilson held senior leadership roles at Abernathy MacGregor, Weber Shandwick and Ogilvy.
