MIAMI—Herbert Heitmann, executive vice president of external communications at Royal Dutch Shell, has joined the roster of panelists and presenters for the second annual Global Public Relations Summit, which will take place in Miami this November.

Heitmann (pictured), who took the senior communications role at Shell in 2010, following a 12-year career at SAP, is also president of the European Association of Communications Directors, the leading membership organization for in-house communications professionals in Europe.

Other recent additions to the lineup of speakers at the Summit—which is organized by The Holmes Group and brings together agency and client leaders from around the world—include Mike Fernandez, corporate vice president at Cargill and John Forrest Ales, senior director of global brand public relations, from the United States; John McLaren, corporate director of communications at Akzo Nobel in the Netherlands; and Gaye Hudson, vice president and head of European public relations for Oracle.
