SAN FRANCISCO — After a slew of business wins, Highwire PR has expanded its leadership team across the agency’s offices.

Kathleen Gratehouse, Highwire co-founder and principal, said the leadership expansion comes after new business helped swell the agency’s revenue by roughly $1m to a total of $19m in 2019. New clients include IT service management company Dell Boomi; digital healthcare company iRhythm; and the world’s first invisible smart lock company, Level Home.

To support the growth Carolina Binstadt has joined Highwire as an executive VP after spending more than 20 years at Text100, most recently as GM of the San Francisco office.

After nearly five years as a Highwire senior VP, Kim Paone has been promoted to GM of New York, where her remit includes expanding the agency’s regional presence among sectors from media to fintech, as well as startups.

Shannon Murphy, a Boston-based SVP who brings experience from 12-plus years at MSL, as well as expertise in the digital health sector, is also new to the agency. Her hiring coincides with Highwire expanding its physical presence in Boston with new office space.

Saige Smith, who previously led global comms for GE Healthcare’s digital and tech divisions, and Holly Langbein, formerly of Weber Shandwick and Text100, join as account directors.

Gratehouse credits the growth to the agency’s increased investment in talent, via new hires and training programs. “We are really starting to see that pay off in notable ways,” Gratehouse said. “We have had a good year.”
