NEW DELHI — Honda India has handed its communications business to Avian WE, tapping the firm to grow awareness of the automaker across the region.

The business was won in a competitive pitch. Honda India previously worked with Perfect Relations.

As  communications agency of record, Avian WE is charged with creating and executing multi-channel, integrated campaigns aimed at rallying consumer interest in the automaker’s vehicles.

The firm’s remit includes expanding Honda’s thought leadership around the future of the automobile industry in India. That includes Avian WE partnering with Honda to showcase the company’s vehicles while bolstering its reputation as an innovator.

The agency also will manage media engagement, expanding the brand’s overall corporate and product narrative.

"Avian WE’s proposed strategy aligns with our communications objectives and we look forward to working with them.,” said Rajesh Goel, who heads Honda India marketing and sales.

The work will be led out of Avian WE’s New Delhi headquarters, by Neha Mehrotra, the firm's executive VP of client centricity.
