LONDON — Leading CRM platform HubSpot has hired Harvard as its communications agency in the UK after a competitive review.

The technology agency’s integrated brief includes creative campaigns, a programme targeting influencers across HubSpot’s key target sectors and media relations to support UK market growth; the company recently opened its first office in the UK and has pledged to grow its hybrid workforce across the country.

HubSpot’s platform includes marketing, sales, service, operations, and website management products that start free and scale as businesses grow. The company has more than 121,000 customers in 120 countries and a market cap of $33 billion.

The incumbent agency in the UK was Nelson Bostock, which resigned the account. HubSpot works with various other agencies around the world including Harvard's new sister agency Sling & Stone in Australia.

Pablo Romero Yusta, HubSpot’s PR and brand awareness senior manager for EMEA, said the firm had been looking for a partner who provide an integrated programme that was equally strong across marketing and PR activations.

He said: “We’re at a pivotal, and hugely exciting, point in. We are established, our solutions used by millions of organisations, and now we need to grow that leadership position. Comms is key to this so a communications partner that understands our challenge and opportunity, knows how to creatively tell our story and can do that through impactful PR and brand activations was vital.

“We have big plans for our future – we want to be seen as and genuinely function as an innovative solutions provider able to help both small and large businesses across the world grow better. The Harvard team impressed us with their energy, creativity and integrated thinking, and we’re delighted to have them on board.”

Harvard CEO Ellie Thompson added: “HubSpot is a dream client for us. Our mission is to help tech brands make their move and HubSpot encapsulates that drive and ambition. It’s a brand that is revolutionising the way businesses approach customer relations and marketing, and ultimately growth. We want to work with tech companies we are inspired and excited by, brands that could genuinely change the world. HubSpot is exactly that. Throughout the process, it was clear Pablo and the entire HubSpot team would be fantastic, collaborate and creative clients. We’re excited to be kicking off what we know will be a brilliant programme.”
