CANNES — Hungarian communications agency HPS Experiences has won the gold prize in the 2017 Young Lions PR competition. The work was submitted by the team of Luca Hadnagy and Paloma Medina in response to a brief set by the British Red Cross.
The UK team of Jack Davy and Ottilie Ratcliffe from The Romans took silver while the Costa Rican team of Christian Gomez and Estefani Solorzano from Comunidad De Empresas De Comunicacion De CR won bronze.
The brief focused on supporting and raising awareness of 'silent emergencies', which represent nine out of 10 emergencies including humanitarian disasters, floods and food shortages. Each team had 24 hours to prepare and present their campaign after receiving the brief on Satruday.
"The work from the Hungarian team was excellent, as was all of the work from the finalists. ICCO is always very proud to make the Young Lions PR competition happen," said Francis Ingham, chief executive, ICCO.
Organized by the International Communications Consultancy Organization, the Young Lions PR competition seeks to discover and celebrate the leading young creative PR team in the world. This year, 22 teams of two PR pros competed for the title after local competitions and elimination rounds in their own countries.
