EUGENE, OR — After years of continued growth, the Institute for Public Relations has expanded, opening a second office at the University of Oregon in the School of Journalism and Communication. As part of the partnership, IPR will collaborate on research projects and hire student assistants who support the research-based mission of IPR. The mission of the UO SOJC focuses on freedom of expression, dialogue and democracy — all of which are critically important to IPR and how the nonprofit champions research in the field.

MIAMI — Wunderlich Kaplan Communications has launched a new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Noor Taher, a Saudi native and brand strategist, will run the MENA division of WK. The agency has already worked with clients such as Good Intentions and the Craft Group in Saudi Arabia and has sights set on offering guidance to US brands seeking to expand into the country.

WASHINGTON — Ad agency Sensis has acquired Sharp & Company, a full-service communications consultancy that helps transportation organizations move projects forward by connecting with their stakeholders and the public. This acquisition will expand portfolio offerings at Sensis, by adding experience in the transportation industry to the company’s capabilities, especially in the Washington, Maryland and Virginia areas.
