DETROIT — The communications agency formerly known as Van Dyke Horn has a new name and brand: 98Forward. The agency’s new name marks the year that the agency was founded, 1998, and signifies the forward-facing continuity and the trajectory of the Black-owned, woman-owned business. Marilyn Horn (pictured) will continue leading the firm as president. In 2022, 98Forward announced a strategic partnership with the Grand Rapids-based PR firm Lambert.

ST. LOUIS — FleishmanHillard’s Media + Platforms practice has launched learning lab environments to help brands explore the impact of the metaverse, Web3 and emerging digital media platforms. The offering includes a combination of an existing training series and planning workshop, along with hands-on experience in a custom-built environment where brands can gain the strategic and technical expertise needed to communicate and market in these new platforms. The capability will be overseen by Jared Carneson, a FleishmanHillard senior partner, who, as part of the Media + Platforms global leadership team, leads the development of capabilities around emerging platforms.

NEW YORK — Baretz+Brunelle has launched a new offering that provides law firms with holistic lateral hiring support. Baretz+Brunelle’s new talent intelligence & analytics practice will be headed by Howard Rosenberg, who has spent more than 15 years in leadership at Am Law 100 and Silver Circle law firms and co-founded Decipher, a global investigative intelligence business. Joining B+B as partner, Rosenberg will assist law firms with issues they face in connection with lateral talent both before and after hiring.

NEW YORK — George Fox University is the latest school to form a PRSSA Chapter. Located in Newberg, Oregon, George Fox University joins the nearly 375 PRSSA Chapters across the US, as well as Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Puerto Rico. Communications majors can select a concentration in public relations, organizational communication or human connection.
