WALTHAM, MA — InkHouse has promoted Alison Morra to chief operating officer and Ed Harrison to GM of the agency’s Boston office.

The COO role is a new one at InkHouse, giving Morra oversight of agency operations across its four offices in Boston, as well as those in New York, San Francisco and Seattle. She assumes the role roughly a year after being appointed the firm’s East Coast managing director.

Morra’s focus will be on promoting operational excellence related to client service, account efficiency, HR, training and IT. She also will implement and scale processes related to hiring, staffing, budgeting, training programs, lead agency-wide initiatives and ensure quality of client work.

In moving from assistant GM to GM of InkHouse’s largest office, Harrison will take on a greater focus on growing and managing the agency’s headquarters. He will oversee business development and staffing account teams while providing strategic support for many of the firm’s technology clients.

Harrison is filling the role vacated by Morra, who ran InkHouse Boston in tandem with overseeing East Coast operations. The moves come a year after Morra and Harrison were promoted to their most recent positions.

“I can’t think of more capable or genuine leaders than Alison and Ed. Alison is the picture of grace and reason under pressure, she’s organized, efficient, and somehow keeps her fingers on the pulse of everything while making it look easy. Ed plays an instrumental role in new business, building our client base. He’s a force of calm, humor, and hard work. Not to mention, they are both rocks of our culture,” said CEO and founder Beth Monaghan. “We couldn’t have anticipated the challenges of 2020, but they have been instrumental in helping to position us for growth in 2021.”
