HONG KONG — Joanne Wong has returned to FleishmanHillard as Asia-Pacific president, following the exit of Lynne Anne Davis earlier this year.
Wong resumes a 19-year career with the Omnicom PR Group, after spending the past four years as senior MD of FTI Consulting North Asia. She will oversee FleishmanHillard’s operations across nine countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
"Joanne’s experience is steeped in consulting and client service," said FleishmanHillard global CEO John Saunders. "And she has a proven track record of growth achieved by supporting colleagues and teams, creating new paths and opportunities for high-performing employees. She will undoubtedly help us generate growth and commercial results in the region and globally, deepening relationships with our current clients and helping to define the future of our company."
Wong was a key leader for FleishmanHillard during her initial tenure with the firm, serving as EVP, client service MD and head of business development, while also building and leading the financial services, public affairs and healthcare practices in the region.
"I am very excited to return to FleishmanHillard, which nurtured and built my dedication and expertise in the communications profession," said Wong. "I look forward to collaborating with the leadership team in the region to co-create a network that is recognized for our distinctive capabilities to problem-solve for clients, and as the destination for the best talent to achieve their most-rewarding career experience."
Davis left FleishmanHillard in May, after 22 years in charge of the Omnicom PR Group (OPRG) firm's Asia-Pacific operation, including the BlueCurrent and Vox subsidiary brands.
