WASHINGTON — APCO has hired Jonathan Lang as senior director and head of economic security policy.

Lang, a geopolitical risk expert who served as director for international economic affairs at both the White House National Economic Council and National Security Council during the Trump administration, will be based in Washington. He will lead APCO’s work on global economic security, with a focus on trade, supply chains, export controls and industrial strategy.

Lang joins APCO from Eurasia Group, where he led the firm’s trade and supply chains practice and advised Fortune 100 executives on reshoring and market diversification. His client experience spans sectors including finance, tech, automotive, aviation, and medical devices.
