CHICAGO – Golin is the latest agency to shakeup its social purpose leadership by hiring Ketchum's Laura Sutphen to head its work in social purpose, corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Sutphen joined Golin in May after nearly three years at Ketchum, overseeing its corporate practice in San Francisco. In her new role, Sutphen is responsible for providing client service and thought leadership across Golin’s offices in the US and abroad. She reports to Scott Farrell, president of the firm’s global corporate communications practice and is based in Golin’s Chicago headquarters.

Prior to Ketchum, Sutphen did a stint at Fenton Communications’ San Francisco office, and was CEO and founder of her own firm, Social Planets that worked on social issues with corporations, nonprofits and social impact companies.
