DUSSELDORF—Ketchum has acquired Brandzeichen, a brand public relations agency with expertise in lifestyle communications and social media.

In 2009, Ketchum merged with Omnicom-owned sister agency Pleon, at the time the largest public relations firm in Germany, which has the largest economy in the European Union and the fourth largest in the world. Pleon was best known for its work in the corporate communications arena.

Brandzeichen—with offices in Dusseldorf, Munich and Hamburg—will continue to operate under its current brand and be led by its CEO, Victoria Wagner (pictured). Its client roster spans the beauty, luxury, automotive, and food and beverage sectors, with clients including Procter & Gamble and Kellogg’s.
