LONDON — Ketchum has hired Kat Dare as a practice director within the consumer brands division to lead on major clients including P&G.

Dare was previously at Taylor Herring, which she joined in July 2019 as head of brand strategy. Before that, she was an associate director at Iris and had also been part of the senior team at Unity.

In her new role, Dare will be responsible for driving forward some of Ketchum’s biggest accounts, as well as playing a key role in attracting and winning new business. She will also become an active member of Ketchum London’s inclusion council, where she will be responsible for driving forward a number of D&I initiatives.

Dare said: “I’m honoured to be joining Ketchum because they are doing fantastic work for some enviable brands. But deeper than this, I was blown away by the culture of the team, and the commitment to diversity and inclusion. This is an agency that does good work but also does good - and this year that's never been more important. I'm humbled to be part of Ketchum's journey and every day I spend with the team I’m even more excited.”

Dare will report to Ketchum’s new consumer brand managing director Sophie Raine, who joined in March from W Communications. Raine said: “Kat is one of our industry’s brightest minds – she’s as creative as she is strategic and has already made a big impact in a short space of time. I’m grateful she’s chosen Ketchum to further her career and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”
