DETROIT — Lambert Global has bought Roy Public Affairs, furthering the agency’s strategy of growing through acquisitions.

Roy founder and principal Melissa Roy joins Lambert as Detroit managing partner and will lead the firm’s public affairs practice.

With the acquisition, Lambert’s new public affairs offering will include communications, advocacy, economic development, community engagement, government relations and lobbying. Roy works with clients throughout Michigan.

Roy will immediately start integrating into Lambert operations which includes transitioning clients including Autism Alliance of Michigan, Downtown Detroit Partnership, Kids Kicking Cancer and TEMO.

The acquisition is the latest in a series of recent moves Lambert has made the grow the agency. Others include the 2021 purchase of St. Louis-based Vandiver Group and the 2020 purchases of Michigan ad agency Fairly Painless and New York-based Casteel Schoenborn Investor Relations & Corporate Communications. In 2019, the firm acquired and hired a Phoenix PR team.
