SAN MATEO, CA — SurveyMonkey has named Silicon Valley vet Lara Sasken Lindenbaum as head of communications.

In her role as VP of communications, Lindenbaum heads the company’s internal and external communications vision, strategy, and execution. She replaces Teresa Brewer, who left in November to lead corporate communications at Roblox.

Lindenbaum joins most recently from Facebook, where she spent a year as corporate communications director. Before Facebook, she was at GoPro, where she led corporate and innovation communications and served as co-chair of the diversity, inclusion and belonging council.

Lindenbaum's hiring comes in conjunction with SurveyMonkey’s larger initiative to grow its enterprise and self-service businesses. The company also hired former Informatica senior director DuVal Hicks as VP of sales operations and former Lyft VP Denis Scott as VP of growth marketing.

“DuVal, Lara, and Denis each bring nearly 20 years of experience in their respective fields and proven leadership managing successful teams,” said CEO Zander Lurie. “All three new hires will play a critical role in SurveyMonkey’s key priorities—scaling our enterprise sales go-to-market strategy, strengthening our self-service business, growing our international presence, and informing current and future customers about how SurveyMonkey helps organizations around the world transform feedback into business intelligence that drives growth and innovation.”
