DUBAI — International PR agency Leidar has won the global communications account for Abu Dhabi based IRENA, the International Renewable Energy Agency, after a competitive pitch.

The agency will work with IRENA’s in-house communications team to raise the profile of the inter-governmental organisation’s senior management and position it as a leader in global energy transformation.

The relationship will be led by Leidar’s MENA office in Dubai, working with colleagues in Geneva, Oslo and London on programme delivery, which includes strategy development, social media, content development, event support and international media engagement.

Leidar MENA managing partner Andreas Keller, who joined the agency from Weber Shandwick last year, said: “This is a fantastic win for our network. Renewable energy has been a core focus for us since the very beginning. Our integrated, experienced teams are used to delivering the global programmes our clients expect and this no doubt came out in our proposal.”
