LONDON — LinkedIn has selected Ketchum as its retained consumer agency in the UK, as the networking site parts ways with Hope&Glory after eight years.

The Omnicom agency’s remit includes defining LinkedIn’s consumer communication strategy in the UK, activating global and local campaigns, providing strategic media counsel, and managing the press office.

Hope&Glory did not repitch for the account. Co-founder and chief client officer Jo Carr told PRovoke Media: “We have successfully worked with the team at LinkedIn since 2017 and, in that time, have loved creating award-winning campaigns for them. As LinkedIn’s business needs and priorities change it makes sense for them to bring in a new partner more aligned to their global strategy. We wish them every future success and will be cheering them on from the sidelines.”

LinkedIn’s UK head of communications Erica Firmo said: “We wanted a partner who could help us build on the foundation we’ve already established while bringing fresh perspectives and creative energy to how we connect with UK audiences. Ketchum stood out for their strategic thinking, deep media expertise, and ability to translate global narratives into stories that truly resonate locally.”

Rachel Rix, Ketchum UK’s recently-appointed chief growth officer, added: “LinkedIn is a dream client - an iconic global brand that aligns perfectly with our consumer tech experience and earned-first approach. It’s an exciting time for a platform like LinkedIn and there are so many relevant stories ready to be told.”

LinkedIn also works with Fight or Flight on B2B communications. The company joins technology and consumer brands Samsung UK&I, Adobe, Mastercard, and Booking.com on Ketchum’s client roster. Danone, which Ketchum had worked with for the past two years, recently appointed Freuds as its PR and influencer agency.
