NEW YORK — Juan Felipe Muñoz has been named LLYC’s new US CEO, becoming the third person to hold the role in roughly a year.

Muñoz, who brings private and public sector experience, will lead the firm’s offices in Miami, Washington and New York, where he is based, with the overarching goal of growing LLYC in the US. He replaces Carlos Correcha-Price, who stepped down from the role late last year.

A US and Columbian citizen, Muñoz spent most of the last eight years in Botagá as a partner with management consultancy Britten. Before that, he was an advisor to Columbian President Juan Manuel Santos, designing digital strategies for the president and and the peace process between the government and Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia, a guerilla group involved in the decades-long Columbian conflict.

“We are certain that Juan Felipe’s expertise will enhance and decisively contribute to LLYC’s growth and consolidation within the US market,” said Alejandro Romero, LLYC partner and CEO of the Americas. “His experience will support our professionals’ efforts, always with a view toward achieving the business targets we have set ourselves. Our focus is on serving major US companies with interests in Latin America; producing global communication campaigns; and working throughout the US Hispanic market, where LLYC offers outstanding value.”

Muńoz is the third leader for LLYC’s US operation since 2020. Correcha-Price left LLYC last last year, roughly eight months into his CEO tenure, to join eMed Digital Healthcare as chief communications and marketing officer.

Correcha-Price had succeeded Mike Fernandez, the former head of Burson-Marsteller’s US operations who spent two years in the role before departing in early 2020. He is now energy company Enbridge’s CCO as well as public affairs and sustainability lead.
