NEWARK, CA — Consumer tech giant Logitech is reviewing its global PR support, the Holmes Report has learned.
The Swiss-based company, which has issued an RFP, is looking for an agency or agencies to handle PR and corporate communications, according to individuals familiar with the review. Pitches will be submitted and reviewed in early 2020, sources said.
Logitech has worked with a number of firms in recent years, awarding regional and project-based assignments. Finn Partners has been a primary Logitech PR agency for much of the last decade, providing PR support for the company across its business groups.
Meanwhile, Streetsense has handled a global remit for Logitech, which included creating and implementing a social media strategy for the business groups under the company’s umbrella. Other agency partners have included Praytell, Shift Communications and Fever PR.
Whether Logitech will consolidate its business with one firm remains to be seen, as a Logitech spokesperson declined to confirm details of the brief or review process. Finn Partners did not respond to request for comment.
The scope of Logitech's products suggests a far reaching remit for the assignment under review. Though the company was built on making the kind of personal computer equipment consumers use on a daily basis — keyboards, mice and webcams among them — Logitech’s business groups also manufacture gaming equipment, smart home devices, Bluetooth speakers and universal remotes.
