MADRID — Brand building and reputation management agency Marco has appointed Ludi García as its new head of Iberia, as well as director of external relations and business development for Spain and Portugal.

Víctor Castell and Diana Castilho, who lead Marco in Spain and Portugal respectively, will now become part of García’s team at the agency, which was recently named as PRovoke Media’s Iberian consultancy of the year for 2023.

García joins from Hotwire, where she had been managing director in Spain since 2018. Before that, she spent more than 11 years at Omnicom PR Group in Spain, as director of digital. Over her 25 years in the PR industry, García has worked with clients including P&G, Tetra Pak, Google, Ikea, McDonald's, Abbot, Pfizer, Amazon, Bolt, Tinder, Klarna, Zoom and Telefónica.

In the newly-created role, García – who is also the current president of ADC, the Association of Communication Consultants in Spain – will report directly to Marco’s co-CEOs: global CEO of reputation Noelia Cruzado and global CEO of brand Diana Vall, who were appointed in February this year in the run up to a planned IPO.

Cruzado said: “We are delighted to have Ludi in Marco, her expertise will be of great added value at a time of growth like the one we are experiencing in the agency, and it will be key for the major milestones we have planned for this year for both Spain and Portugal.”

Vall added: “We are very happy to have Ludi on the team. Not only for her extensive experience and deep knowledge of the sector, but also for her human quality and talent. She is a fundamental piece that will help Marco to continue growing in two key markets for us, and to maintain our position as the reference communications agency in Iberia”.

Of her new role, García said: “The moment in which Marco finds itself makes me feel especially proud that a company based in Spain is becoming one of the leading communication consultancies worldwide.”
