In New York, Magnet has hired Richard Klein as account director and Timothy Gay as account supervisor. Klein was previously a vice president at Rubenstein Associates, where he represented several law firm clients, while Gay was most recently corporate communications manager at KPMG. In San Francisco, Nicholas Gaffney has been named VP and David Schaefer joins as account executive. Gaffney was formerly director of business development for Levick Strategic Communications, an international media relations firm.
In a separate announcement, Magnet says it has picked up two new technology accounts in its Emeryville, Calif., office. The new accounts are InfoWorld, a weekly trade magazine, and Promptu Corporation, which provides web-hosted sales and marketing applications.
