MINNEAPOLIS — Medtronic has hired new data and content leaders as part of a larger restructuring of its global communications and corporate marketing group.

Aniz Ruda has joined Medtronic as VP of data, analytics and insights. In the newly created role, Ruda oversees the strategy and development of brand and reputation research insights, applications, and analyses to support communications and marketing strategy at a global level.

He joins from Weber Shandwick, where he was senior VP of global intelligence. Previously, Ruda was VP of insights and Intelligence for Edelman Digital.

In addition, Jason Moriber has joined Medtronic as VP of content & creative, also a newly created position. Moriber is responsible for developing and implementing content strategy, including tools and resources to create and optimize content that engages key stakeholders.

Moriber (pictured) joins from Turbine Labs where he was VP of marketing and brand strategy. Before that, he was senior VP of global communications for Quarate Retail Group.

Both Ruda and Moriber report to Torod Neptune, who joined Medtronic as chief communications officer a year ago. Before joining the medical device company, Neptune spent four years overseeing Lenovo’s global comms.
