MANAMA — Memac Ogilvy has appointed Tim Fallon to dual roles as head of government and international affairs covering the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and national PR director for Bahrain.

The government and international affairs role is a newly created position where he will help develop and lead a practice focused specifically at working with government and international bodies across MENA.

"We are delighted that Tim is joining Memac Ogilvy and I know he has the experience, personality and character to help us continue to grow our PR and communications business," said Edmond Moutran, the company's chairman and CEO.

In his new roles, Fallon will create and lead a practice focused solely on regional and national government, investment authorities and other associated agencies, working across the company's 15 offices. He will also be responsible for leading PR and social teams in Bahrain.

Fallon makes the move to Ogilvy from DAMAC Properties, where he served as SVP and advisor since June 2016. Prior to that, he spent nearly four years with Instinctif Partners as CEO and managing partner of capital markets and global corporate affairs. Before that, Fallon served as managing director and head of corporate and international affairs at Hill + Knowlton for nearly a decade.

"Given the pace and scope of change taking place, there is no more exciting region to work in, and I'm delighted to be working with Eddie Moutran, Saada Hammad, and the rest of the team. Memac Ogilvy is a regional powerhouse, with a reputation that is second to none and combined with the global Ogilvy network, the opportunity to grow our work with governments and other international organizations is immense," said Fallon.

Saada Hammad, Memac Ogilvy regional director, said the new hire is part of a strategy to grow the agency's senior talent capability while creating deep regional expertise in international government communications, public affairs and reputation management.

Headquartered in Dubai, Memac Ogilvy began operations in Bahrain in 1984. The company offers advertising, public relations, direct marketing, and planning and creative services through its 15 offices across MENA.
