SAN FRANCISCO — Tech giant Salesforce has named Method Communications its new US public relations agency of record, charging the firm with handling corporate and product communications, PRovoke Media has learned.
Method will take the lead role in coordinating and executing the company’s US comms strategy, with a focus on shaping the narrative around digital labor and AI agents. Salesforce will continue to work with other PR agencies — including incumbent AOR FleishmanHillard — for specialized programs, sources said.
“We have appointed Method as our US agency of record and have expanded our relationship with Archetype,” a Salesforce spokesperson told PRovoke Media. “We're continuing our long-term engagement with Joele Frank for financial PR and FleishmanHillard for analytics/measurement support.”
The appointment followed a competitive RFP process. Method has assembled a dedicated executive team under executive VP Katy Kenealy to handle the account. The team comprises subject-matter specialists with expertise in corporate, product, narrative, and media relations.
“Salesforce is redefining customer success with the most complete enterprise AI solution on the market,” said Method CEO David Parkinson. “We're excited to partner with them to translate this complex innovation into clear, compelling stories that demonstrate the transformative potential of digital labor for businesses.”
The move follows the appointment of Carolyn Guss as Salesforce CCO in January, after Brad Burns left the company for data cloud company Snowflake. Guss spent seven years with Method as an executive VP and GM and was VP of comms at PagerDuty before joining Salesforce as senior VP of corporate communications in 2021.
