LONDON — Milk & Honey PR has made a number of senior hires to boost its international capabilities.

In New York, where the agency opened its first US office in May last year, Conor Douglass joins from Edelman, where he had been a senior account supervisor since 2019. Douglass started his career in political campaigning, from a local mayoral race in 2013 to a US Congressional race in 2016.

Douglass also spent four years in Washington, DC working on Capitol Hill and in public affairs before joining Edelman. At Milk & Honey, he steps into a broader corporate affairs leadership role reporting into US partner, Michael West Jr.

In London, Loreen Fraser-Owusu (pictured) has also joined the agency as a client director to strengthen its senior technology bench, after working for 15 years on international campaigns in London and Dubai, including at specialist Africa agency Wimbart PR, Impact Porter Novelli, Polhill (now part of Newgate) and Maitland.

In her new role, Fraser-Owusu will be focused on developing the agency’s technology portfolio and Milk & Honey’s delivery of integrated programmes for purpose-driven businesses.

Also in London, Chavaey Waithe joins the global digital team, led by Rachel Proctor, as digital client manager. Waithe has worked both in-house and agency in government affairs, social media and PR roles for organisations such as Macquarie Group and Battenhall and has spent the past year studying for a Master’s degree in psychology.

Finally, Naomi Powell is set to join Milk & Honey as a partner and group chief people officer, a newly created global role. Powell has worked in senior HR roles across PR agencies and in-house, latterly as global human resources director at advertising and media software firm Telmar.

Milk & Honey founder and group CEO Kirsty Leighton said: “With every new hire we try to bring in new skills, and create new career opportunities for our team, half of whom are now co-owners through our Employee Ownership Trust. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved in our first five years. I look forward to continued growth and expanded skill offering.”
