LONDON —Missive has won Virgin Media O2’s retained B2B, network and responsible business communications account after a competitive pitch.

The technology specialist agency’s focus will be on supporting Virgin Media O2 – formed last summer with the merger of Virgin Media’s broadband network and O2’s mobile network – through its ongoing digitalisation.

Before the merger, O2’s B2B communications were handled by Teneo. Hope&Glory PR, which has worked with O2 for many years, continues to be retained as the combined firm’s consumer PR agency.

The Missive team will report to Nicola Green, who was confirmed as chief communications and corporate affairs officer for the new entity last year, after leading corporate communications at O2 parent company Telefónica since 2016.

Missive CEO Giles Peddy, who joined the firm from Lewis in 2020, said: “It is a proud moment for Missive to have been selected by Virgin Media O2 to tell its connectivity story and showcase how it is upgrading the UK. This is one of the most coveted briefs in the UK, and we are excited to be working with the hugely talented and experienced team at Virgin Media O2, as well as much admired Hope&Glory.”

Other recent wins for Missive include enterprise software firm Workday.
