NEW YORK — Marina Maher Communications is expanding its digital innovation practice with the addition of four senior leaders, including Saveira Singh who is being brought on to lead the group.

As executive director, digital innovation and storytelling, Singh will oversee the practice team of 35 digital, influencer, social media and analytics experts.  Her responsibilities in the newly created role include spearheading digitally led campaigns, as well as content and innovations.

Singh joins from MSL, whose digital practice she launched as a senior VP. Chief innovation officer Rema Vasan, who also joined MMC from MSL, has been leading digital innovation  practice since assuming her role in 2019.

Mike Schaffer has been hired to serve as the firm’s first senior VP, corporate digital innovation. He has spent the last seven years as senior VP, digital and corporate, at Edelman, where he most recently developed an offering that addresses business challenges through the application of technology.

In addition, Jo Madnani, most recently Flight Centre Travel Group's social media director for the Americas, has joined the practice as VP of digital health. Carolina Ortiz, most recently M Booth’s director of digital strategy, has been named VP of consumer digital and influencer marketing.

“In today’s world, it’s table stakes to think digital-first,” Vasan said. “The real question is what impactful communications in a digital-first world will look like in one year, two years, and beyond. The answer to that is talent like Saveira, Mike, Jo and Carolina who have a legacy of developing industry-leading capabilities and award-winning work that’s consistently ahead of the curve. We’re thrilled to be infusing our digital innovation practice with this incredible group of powerhouse talent who have chosen to find a home at MMC.”
