LONDON — Food and drinks giant Mondelēz is reviewing its lucrative Cadbury PR account in the UK, PRovoke Media has learned.

The seven-figure account has been held by Golin since 2013, when it became the first single agency to run the “always on” UK consumer account across Cadbury’s products.

The agency, which would not comment on the pitch, has worked on multiple award-winning campaigns for Cadbury brands, including the Hunt The White Creme Egg Experience, and its recent integrated marketing campaign to launch Cadbury’s first vegan product, Plant Bar (pictured).

David Mills, Mondelēz International's head of external communications for the UK & Ireland, confirmed that the review was underway but told PRovoke Media there was "no specific timescale" for a decision to be made.

Mondelēz also works with agencies including Weber Shandwick, which won the UK public affairs account in 2019, and Hanover, which handles trade PR across its brands.

As well as Cadbury, Mondelēz’s other brands include Oreo, Belvita, Milka, Philadelphia, Toblerone and Ritz. The company, which had global 2020 revenue of well over $26 billion, was created in 2012 when Kraft’s snack brands were spun off from its grocery business. Golin had worked with Kraft since 2007.
