NEW YORK, January 10—Manning Selvage & Lee, which already works for several units of Royal Philips Electronics, has added Philips Medical Systems to its client roster. MS&L will be global agency of record for Philips Medical Systems, following a three-month review and will provide on corporate public relations strategy, product PR, and branding efforts.
The company is seeking to reposition itself after the recent acquisitions of Agilent Technologies’ Healthcare Solutions Group and Marconi Medical Systems. MS&L had previously represented Agilent through its Boston office, and also serves Philips Electronics North America, Philips DAP and Philips Lighting in Europe.
Says Anne Grewer, international press officer for Philips Medical Systems, “It is our objective to increase brand preference of Philips with the hospital community but also creating brand awareness for Philips in the healthcare sector among the general public.”
The account will be run by the MS&L office in London, supported by offices in Boston, San Francisco and New York.
