BERLIN — Netflix has appointed Anne Laumen as its new head of communications across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Laumen joins from Facebook, where she spent four years, first working on policy communications in Germany and then leading policy across the DACH region.

In a LinkedIn post on her departure from Facebook last month she said: “Working on some of the most interesting tech-related, societal and regulatory issues of our time has been fascinating and challenging. And I feel immense gratitude towards the wonderful colleagues and partners both in and outside of Facebook I’ve worked with along the way.”

Laumen has also worked as a partnerships manager for Twitter in Germany, for the European Commission, and at Burson-Marsteller in Brussels.

In her new role, Laumen will be responsible for corporate communications across EMEA, reporting to Oliver Rawlins, vice president of public relations for EMEA, who joined the entertainment giant in 2019 after holding senior communications roles at Fremantle Media and Guardian Media Group.
